World's largest zip line Zip Rider

The world's largest zip line is in Chihuahua.

It is one of the various attractions of the Barrancas del Cobre Adventure Park, with a length of 2,554 meters.

The ZipRider Zipline is located between the Divisadero Barrancas train station and Posada Barrancas, in the Barrancas del Cobre Adventure Park, where you can live a magnificent experience as it is one of the 100 must-see attractions in Mexico, an award it received just in 2022.

How long is the zip line ride?

It is good to know that, unlike other ziplines, this ZpiRider zipline tour is done in a harness type chair, where the rider is attached to the seat, reaching speeds of 80 to 135 kilometers per hour, but has an automatic braking system, consisting of a system of 100 springs that absorb the race to reach the base platform. The ZpiRider zipline ride can be said to be a sigh, since the approximate time on the cable is 2 minutes, but the whole experience takes about an hour.

Those who wish to do this extreme activity will travel two minutes to reach the base platform, the guides will support and indicate to the visitor the location of a path that must be taken to begin a walk of approximately 700 meters uphill and that is done in a time of 35 minutes.

Once at the return station, you can wait up to 15 minutes until the cabin arrives for the transfer, but once there, comes the best part, which is nothing more and nothing less than the return in the cable car. It is important to know that this activity is done in approximately one hour, because if visitors wish to do another activity later, they must schedule it considering that time. The Parque Aventuras de Barrancas del Cobre is open 365 days a year from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and in the case of the ZipRider zipline, the service is from 9:30 a.m. to 3:40 p.m. The cost of the zipline is $35.00 per person. The cost of the zip line is 1,000 pesos for tourists from other states or countries and 900 pesos for those who live in the state of Chihuahua. This payment includes the return trip on the cable car and it is not necessary to purchase an additional ticket. As with many outdoor events and activities, the ZpiRider zip line ride may be suspended without prior notice in the event of thunderstorms, technical failures or cable car service availability.

How to get to Zip Rider Zipline?

To get to these impressive canyons of the Sierra Tarahumara of Chihuahua, one of the most common ways is through the Chihuahua to the Pacific train route, better known as El Chepe.

By car it is possible to travel from Chihuahua, by highway and rural roads, as well as by the Noroeste tourist bus line, which leaves from Chihuahua and passes through Cuauhtémoc, La Junta, San Pedro, San Juanito, Bocoyna and Barrancas del Cobre, but also reaches San Rafael, Entronque Cuiteco, Bahuichivo, Témoris, Palmarejo and Chínipas.
